Bowling Green Police have been getting several complaints of a Secret Shopper Association scam. They say there is no such organization.

If you receive a check, of any kind, in the mail, police say verify the check's validity, before depositing it into your account.

Don't let the phrase "time is limited for you to act" scare you. Get on the internet, and type in the company name or telephone number. There are sites that will tell you if these are scams or not.

Police say scams will always be with us, just try not to get caught in one.
