WKU students taking a Study Away course this summer are encouraged to apply for a $100 scholarship offered through the Student Government Association (SGA). The scholarships will be awarded to five WKU students planning to take a summer 2012 Study Away course.

Applications must be submitted online by 4 p.m. April 23 at www.wku.edu/studyaway/scholarships. The Study Away office will announce the scholarship awards in early May. Students do not have to be currently enrolled in a Study Away course to apply, but the award will only be made after the student has paid for the course.

Summer 2012 Study Away courses include U.S. National Parks throughout the southwestern U.S., Art & Literacy in Los Angeles, Geographic Concepts & Skills for Teachers in Kentucky and South Dakota, Fashion/Design Market Trends in Las Vegas, Social Inequality & Community Development Solutions in the Mississippi Delta and Life & Literature of Chicago.
