Funeral Home: J.C. Kirby and Son Funeral Home, Lovers Lane Chapel
John Thomas Cooper, 77, of Bowling Green, passed away July 1, 2012, at a Bowling Green nursing home.
He was the son of the late Eldon Cooper and the late Carrie Graves Cooper. He was retired from Desa International. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and a member of the VFW.
He is survived by his wife, Jewell Cooper of Bowling Green; two sons, John Thomas Cooper Jr., and his wife, Collen, of Oklahoma and Stevie Cooper of Bowling Green; two step daughters, Martha Lowe and her husband, Tommy, of Oakland and Margie Hughes of Smiths Grove; a sister, Hazel Lamastus of Bowling Green; one brother-in-law, Don Tweedy and his wife, Linda, of Bowling Green; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; six step grandchildren, 15 step great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Eleanor Haynes and Laverne Simmons and one step son, Dwight Anderson.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the J.C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the J.C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel, with burial in the Smiths Grove City Cemetery.
