Bonnie Cox Bryant, 71, of Bowling Green, died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at her home.
Bonnie was a daughter of the late Francis and Elizabeth Taylor of Bourbon County. She had a 34-year career in nursing that began at The Medical Center at Bowling Green. She also served as director of nursing at T.J. Samson and Audubon Medical Center before obtaining her Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner at age 57. She was a member of the Episcopal Church.
Bonnie’s compassion for people was demonstrated in everything she did, including her determination to make a difference in her patients’ lives. She enjoyed spending her time helping others and volunteering at the Bowling Green-Warren County Humane Society. Bonnie was very proud of her lineage as a Daughter of the American Revolution, but her deepest love was for her daughter and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Bryant, and daughter Liza Edmunds and her husband, Garth, of Bowling Green; a stepson, Michael Bryant and a stepdaughter, Laura Bryant; two grandchildren, Grayson Edmunds and Clayce Edmunds; two stepgranddaughters, Niki Bryant and Diana Smith; a brother, Ricky Taylor of Oneida, Tenn.; and three nephews.
Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at J.C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Lovers Lane Chapel. The family chose cremation.
