Funeral Home: J.C. Kirby & Son Broadway Chapel
Marvin P. Conner Sr., 77, of Bowling Green, passed away at 9:18 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at The Medical Center.
The Hart County native was born on May 26, 1935, to the late George and Edna Conner and was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Johnson Conner; a son, Marvin Conner Jr.; a daughter, Sharron Conley; and two brothers, Billy Bryant and Donnie Conner. He was the owner and operator of Conner’s Plumbing. He was a Church of Christ by faith and attended Boiling Springs Church of Christ. Mr. Conner was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
There will be a memorial service on Saturday at 3 p.m. at the J.C. Kirby & Son Broadway Chapel, with burial in Boiling Springs Church of Christ Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. J.C. Kirby & Son Broadway Chapel is entrusted with the arrangements.
Survivors include two daughters, Kalynn Conner Stinson of Scottsville and Vickie Walker (Arlin) of Sweeden; a son, Jim Thompson (Linda) of Glasgow; three brothers, Joe Conner of Pensacola, Fla., Ken Conner of Bowling Green and Jerry Conner of Atlanta; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
