Funeral Home: J.C. Kirby and Son Funeral Home, Lovers Lane Chapel
Walter F. “Bunk” Cosby, 75, of Bowling Green, passed away Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, at his residence at 3:34 a.m. He was born March 19, 1937, in Alvaton and was the son of the late Romer and Ethel Turner Cosby. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne and Bill Cosby, and one sister, Frances Grizzle.
Bunk was a retired farmer and loved fishing.
He is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Cosby Campbell and Joyce Cosby Tamayo (Victor), both of Alvaton; a special brother, Charles Cosby of Alvaton; several nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and two special great-nieces, Emily and Allison Cosby of Alvaton.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. at J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel, with services at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home and burial at Friendship Cemetery in Alvaton. Arrangements have been entrusted to J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel.
