Thelma Irene Dyer, 83, of Woodburn, entered into rest Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, at 6:05 a.m. at The Medical Center at Franklin.
Arrangements are under the direction of Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Woodburn Baptist Church in Woodburn, with burial to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
A native of Knox County, she was the daughter of the late Will Stewart and the late Nannie Garrison Stewart.
She is survived by her husband, Langdon Dyer of Woodburn; a daughter, Nancy Gregory (Bradford) of Franklin; two sons, Donald Dyer (Teresa) of Woodburn and Michael Dyer (Gerri) of Corydon, Ind.; a brother, Edward Stewart of Louisville; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Dyer was a homemaker and a member of the Woodburn Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Saturday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and from 6 a.m. to noon Sunday at Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. Sunday until funeral service time at Woodburn Baptist Church.
