Noah Junior Rigdon, 78, of Smiths Grove, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at Cal Turner Extended Care Pavilion at 11 p.m.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Noah Rigdon Sr. and Bessie Rigdon; one sister, Gladys Hardcastle; and three brothers, Ellis, James and Wendell Rigdon.
Junior was a retired farmer and member of Grace Baptist Church. He loved fishing and was an outdoorsman.
He is survived by his companion of 31 years, Mary E. Bryant of Smiths Grove; a daughter, Beverly Martin (James Jason) of Smiths Grove; two stepdaughters, Tammy Edwards (Junior) of Smiths Grove and Pam Bowles of Florida; a sister, Betty Bullington of Bunkum; four grandchildren, Emily and Lila Martin, Jonathan Bryant and Hunter Bowles; two great-grandchildren, Scotty and Caleb Bryant; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Sunday from noon until service time at J. C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel, with the services Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Smiths Grove Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel.
