Funeral Home: J.C. Kirby and Son Funeral Home, Lovers Lane Chapel
Charles Edward Cosby, 73, of Bowling Green, passed away Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at his residence at 8:28 a.m. He was preceded in death by his parents, Romer and Ethel Turner Cosby; a sister, Emma Frances Grizzle; and three brothers, Walter F. “Bunk” Cosby, Billy Ray Cosby and Marshall Wayne Cosby.
Charles was a retired farmer and also worked at Holley Carburetor. He loved hunting and fishing and loved his dog, “Skunk.”
He is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Cosby Campbell of Alvaton and Joyce Cosby Tamayo (Victor) of Alvaton; several nieces and nephews; and two special great-nieces, Emily and Allison Cosby of Alvaton.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at J.C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel, with the funeral at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Friendship Cemetery in Alvaton.
