Funeral Home: J.C. Kirby & Son Broadway Chapel
Carl R. Gilleland, 65, of Bowling Green, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at his residence, with his family by his side.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Louise Gilleland; and his first wife, Linda Gilleland. He was a member of the Oakland and Neel Masonic lodges. He was a retired General Motors employee.
Survivors include his wife, Jayne Bailey Gilleland of Bowling Green; two sons, Tom Gilleland of Bowling Green and Scott Gilleland (Angie) of Georgetown; two daughters, Robyn Bailey of Russellville and Jenny Vana of Bowling Green; a brother, Leon Gilleland (Debbie) of Alvaton; a sister, Cathy Spencer of Sonora; and two dear friends, David Landreth and Debbie Shoulders. There are nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and his loving dog, Max.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and after 11 a.m. Saturday at the J.C. Kirby & Son Broadway Chapel, with a Masonic service at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Funeral services will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Broadway Chapel.
