Byron Wayne Carpenter, 71, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012.
He was a member of the NRA and the Green River Gun Club. He loved hunting and being outdoors. He retired from General Motors in 1999.
He was proceeded in death by his parents and his first wife, Elinor Roll Carpenter. He is survived by his wife, Wanda DeVasher Carpenter of Bowling Green; a son, David Carpenter of Yorktown, N.Y.; three daughters, Eileen Banscher (John) of Yorktown, N.Y., Beverly Hood Pedigo of Glasgow and Teressa Hood of Bowling Green; grandchildren, Tara Landrum (Grant), Tasha Cotter (Daniel), Tyler Pedigo, Nick Peters, Daniel Moffitt, Brianna Banscher and Amber Banscher; a great-granddaughter, Ellie Grace Landrum; and a brother, Robert Carpenter of New York.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday with funeral at 3 p.m. Sunday, all at the J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Burial will be in Bowling Green Gardens.
