Doris Jean Ford, 81, of Bowling Green, died Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at her home. The Brooks native was born March 25, 1931, a daughter of the late Arthur Coleman Quick and Stella Viola Marcum Quick. She was preceded in death by her sister, Janette Maye Murdock, and an aunt, Georgia Alice Quick.
Mrs. Ford was a graduate of the Ahrens Trade School in Louisville, a homemaker, artist and cartographer and a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
She is survived by her husband, James Ford; one son, Steve Ford and his wife, Kathy, of Louisville; two daughters, Tracy Inman and her husband, John Inman, and Suzanne Cornett and her fiance, Rob Paugh, both of Bowling Green; one brother, Erman Quick of Westerville, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Chelsea Cornett, Jesse Cornett, Jake Inman and Zach Inman, all of Bowling Green, Courtney Ford, Brian Ford and Darby Ford, all of Louisville, and Alec Paugh of Bowling Green.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to First Christian Church and Hospice of Southern Kentucky.
Memorial Service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and again from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home.
