Christopher Allen Manion, 41, of Louisville, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital.
He was born in Glasgow and was a 1989 graduate of Glasgow High School. He graduated in 1994 from Western Kentucky University, majoring in chemistry, and had been very active in the Baptist Student Union while at Western. He attended South East Christian Church in Louisville and was an avid runner, singer and actor, most recently appearing in the musical “Wicked” in Louisville. He was employed by AGRANA Fruit Products as its quality and food safety manager.
He is survived by his mother, Elaine Manion of Bowling Green; father, Benny Manion (Vickie) of Glasgow; sisters, Casey Edwards (Cory) of Glasgow and Whitney Wilhelm (Paul) of Scottsville; grandmother, Jean Cox of Glasgow; two nieces, Kinsey Edwards and Lori Ann Wilhelm; a nephew, Kale Edwards; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Boyd and Elaine Manion; and his maternal grandfather, Allen Cox.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, with burial in Smith Cemetery at Sulphur Well. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.
