Larry Pat Terry, 66, of Bowling Green, entered into rest Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, at his residence surrounded by his family.
A native of Centralia, Ill., he was the son of the late Virginia Dare Jackson Hartwell and his stepfather, the late Jim “Zeeke” Hartwell. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles “Charlie” Terry; and sister, Sue Terry Barton.
Larry is survived by his son, Ryan Terry (Dena) of Bowling Green; daughter, Christina “Tina” Harrell (Matt) of Oakland; stepson, David Essenpreis (Kayren) of Rockfield; stepdaughter, Angela “Angie” Essenpreis of Rockfield; seven grandchildren, Melissa Martin, Laura Suttle, Kelsey Pennington, Madison Terry and Preston, David and Natalie Harrell; a great-grandchild, Ella Rose Martin; and several nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Larry was a Christian, an Army veteran and retired from General Motors Co. after 30 years of service. He loved spending time at the lake boating and camping with family and friends. He was a devoted father, grandfather and friend and will be missed by many.
Cremation was chosen and a memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Burial will follow in Bowling Green Gardens. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Wednesday until the memorial service at 1 p.m.
