Betty Decker Tabor, 84, of Bowling Green, died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at Magnolia Village.
Betty was born Oct. 14, 1928, a daughter of the late E.J. Decker Sr. and Jessie Burns Decker. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Tabor Zabriskie.
Mrs. Tabor was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had previously worked at Cutler Hammer and Castner Knott, where she enjoyed friends and meeting new people. Betty never met a stranger, as within meeting her she immediately befriended you.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, D.W. Tabor; a son, Ed Tabor; a daughter, Bev Crowder (Bill); two brothers, E.J. Decker Jr. (Pat) and W.L. Decker (Shirley); and two sisters, Irene Hughey (Ron) and Barbara Sledge (Ferril). She was the proud grandmother of eight, Jarrod, Emily, Shane, Karissa, John, Natalie, Kalie and Harlie, and great-grandmother of 12. She was also survived by lots of loving family members.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at J.C. Kirby and Son on Broadway. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the same location, with burial following at Fairview Cemetery.
