Funeral Home: King’s Funeral Home in Cadiz
Kathy Stevenson, 80, of Bowling Green, formerly of Cadiz, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green of natural causes.
She was a retired nurse from Warren County Public Schools, a member of Crossroads Fellowship Church, a member of the Kentucky Schools Nurses Association and National Association of School Nurses, and recipient of the KSHA Honor Award in 1982 and National Association of School Nurses Award in 1986.
She is survived by a son, Doug Stevenson of Bowling Green; three daughters and sons-in-law, Jeanne and Bill Rolett of Bowling Green, Lisa Stevenson and Robert Turner of Bowling Green and Lori and Bob Conyers of Franklin, Tenn.; two brothers and sister-in-law, Phillip J. Demster of Memphis, Tenn., and Walter E. and Leola Demster of Lakeland, Fla.; and two grandchildren, Brad Ausbrooks of Bowling Green and Stephen and Rebekah Ausbrooks of Louisville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Everette and Carrie Mae Mankin Demster; husband, Dr. Robert L. “Bob” Stevenson; and two sisters.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at King’s Funeral Home in Cadiz, with the Rev. Geoff Bagget officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Memorial Park in Murphysboro, Ill. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Monday at King’s Funeral Home.
