Shirley Ann Key, 71, of Bowling Green, passed away Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at her residence. The Bowling Green native was born Aug. 9, 1941, and was a daughter of the late Francis and Clifton Ray Ferguson. Mrs. Key was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Johnson.
Mrs. Key was a homemaker and faithfully served in ministry at First Pentecostal Church for 44 years beside her husband.
Mrs. Key is survived by her husband of 54 years, the Rev. Ivan Hobert Key; a daughter, Beverly Key of Bowling Green; a son, Brian Key of Bowling Green; a brother, Don Davenport of White House, Tenn.; a grandchild, Brandon M. Key; and several nieces and nephews.
Services for Mrs. Key are under the direction of Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Pentecostal Church, with burial at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation is from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the church. A candle-lighting ceremony will be held at 7 p.m. today at the church, which is at 4200 Diddle Drive at the Russellville Road interchange of William H. Natcher Parkway.
