Evon Meeks, 81, of Pine Grove, passed away Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, in Brownsville. The Edmonson County native was the daughter of the late Geneva “Jack” Graham and Sarah Jane Miller Graham and was the wife of the late Harvey Meeks. She was a housewife and a member of Pine Grove United Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Debbie Scruggs (Monty) of Bowling Green; a son, Mark Meeks (Barbara) of Pine Grove; a sister, June Graham (Bennie) of Pine Grove; four grandchildren, Jimmy Watt, Jamie Singleton (Cable), Brady Meeks and Ethan Meeks; and three great-grandchildren, Haley Pridemore, Katie Singleton and William Singleton.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Patton Funeral Home, Brownsville Chapel, and after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Pine Grove United Baptist Church until time of the funeral service. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Pine Grove United Baptist Church, with burial in the Hawks Cemetery.
