Lindon C. Embry, 80, of Morgantown, passed away Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, at his residence.
Lindon was born May 28, 1932, in Butler County to the late Wiley F. Embry and Nancy Crane Embry Brown. He was a member of Chapel Union Missionary Baptist Church, retired die setter for Cissell Manufacturing for 28 years and a U.S. Army veteran. He was preceded in death by two brothers, James Embry and Wiley Embry Jr.; and two sisters, Theo Embry and Betty Lou Embry.
Lindon C. Embry is survived by his wife, Donna Embry of Morgantown; two sons, Tony Stivers (Melinda) of Shepherdsville and Donnie Davis (Kelley) of Louisville; three sisters, Marcell Blyth (Virgil) of Rockport, Ind., Rebecca Blyth (Ernie) of Rockport, Ind., and Libby Woosley of Louisville; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Chapel Union Missionary Baptist Church, with Bro. Gary Embry and Bro. Greg Fields officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Union Cemetery, where military rites will be conducted by AMVETS Post 117. Visitation is in progress until 8 p.m. today at Jones Funeral Chapel and is from 9 a.m. until funeral time at 11 a.m. Friday at Chapel Union Missionary Baptist Church.
