Leon M. Heiser, 88, of Woodburn, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at The Medical Center.
He served in the United States Army during World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sophia, and a great-grandson, Keaton Lawrence.
He is survived by his daughter, Sandy Lawrence and her husband, Lt. Col. Roy Lawrence (USMC Ret.), of Woodburn; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may call on the family after 1 p.m. Saturday at J.C. Kirby and Son Broadway Chapel. A celebration of life will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral chapel. He will be buried beside his wife, Sophia, in Yuma, Ariz.
