Norma Marie Micensky, 86, of Bowling Green, passed away at 3:50 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at the Hospice Center in Bowling Green.
She was born in Iron Mountain, Mich., on March 23, 1926. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frances and Catherine Baravetto Susens; her husband, Harry Arthur Micensky II; three sisters, Patricia Susens, Diane Shumway and Jean Dubnicka; and two brothers, William and James Susens.
Norma was a retired aide in elementary and high schools and a member of the Methodist faith. The family would like to thank all the friends and neighbors who were dearest to her in her life.
Survivors include two sons, Gerald Michalski (Elia) of San Diego and James Michalski (Annie) of Burlington, Wis.; two daughters, Linda Spata (Dwayne) of New Berlin, Wis., and Jeannie Johnson (William) of New Richmond, Wis.; six sisters, June Patterson of Allenton, Fla., Betty Grunwald (Bud) of Texas, Mary Ann Dost of Florida, Fran Gerke (Dick) of Surprise, Ariz., Nancy Barrett of Bowling Green and Sandra Alleva of Quartsite, Ariz.; a brother, Richard Susens (Betty) of Green Bay, Wis.; five grandchildren, Luke and Maggie Michalski, Jesse and Scott Spata and Emily Johnson; four great-grandchildren, Logan, Cole, Shelby and Ryder Spata; several nieces and nephews; and her special pet, “Rebel.”
Memorial services will be held at a later date and the family chose cremation. Arrangements are entrusted to J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel.
