Nancy (Good) Young, 84, of Bowling Green, went to be with the Lord on Dec. 29, 2012.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she taught preschool for many years. She was active in Faith Sunday School Class, WMU, Senior Adult Fellowship and the Cambodian Ministry. She also volunteered at Solomon’s Cellar for many years, a former ministry of HOTEL INC.
She was the first kindergarten teacher at T.C. Cherry School from 1950 to 1955.
She was a devoted wife and mother. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, G. Don Young; a son, Joe Vernon Young (Sheri) of Etta, Miss.; two daughters, Susanne Talley (Eddie) of Bowling Green and Ruth Munsell (Tim) of Franklin, Tenn.; a sister, Susan Good of Bowling Green; a cousin, Ruth Bone of Bowling Green; and three grandchildren, Greg Talley (Ashley) of Knoxville, Tenn., Megan Talley of Bowling Green and Britney Young of Etta, Miss.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home, with burial in Fairview Cemetery No. 2. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church, 621 E. 12th Ave., Bowling Green, or Hospice of Southern Kentucky, 5872 Scottsville Road, Bowling Green.
