Mrs. Lou P. Vincent, 69, of Bowling Green, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at Baptist Hospital in Nashville. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Lovers Lane, where services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m., with burial in Bowling Green Gardens.

The Hart County native was the daughter of the late Theodore and Katherine Puckett. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Franklin Puckett and Dewayne Puckett, both of Munfordville; a sister, Margie Lasley, and brother-in-law, Laymon Lasley, both of Munfordville; and two half brothers, Austin Puckett and Glenual Puckett, both of Corbin.

She was a Cub Run High School and Bowling Green VoTech Surgical Tech School graduate. She worked for Dr. John Grise for nine years and Dr. Mark Yurchisin for 22 years as well as at Greenview Hospital. She attended Fairview Memorial Missionary Baptist Church.

As Lou cared for patients in her work, she showed a special interest for the needs each patient possessed. But her family was her first love. The five grandsons and one granddaughter were the loves of her life. All athletically excelled with the support of their grandmother sometimes being at more than one game a day. The commitment to her family was paralleled by her love for her work and her God. Being a wife and mother claimed her favorite reasons for living as she was survived by her husband of 50 years, Stanley Revere Vincent of Bowling Green; three sons, Barry Vincent and his wife, Emily, of Bowling Green, Eric Vincent and his wife, Mary Thomas, of Franklin and Dr. Brian Vincent and his wife, Dr. Shellie Kendall, of Sacramento, Calif.; six grandchildren, Brit Vincent and his fiancee, Lacey Doak, of Bowling Green, Keenan Vincent and Keely Vincent, both of Bowling Green, and Andrew, Connor and Corbin Vincent, all of Franklin; a brother, J.C. Puckett and his wife, Margo, of Hardyville; a sister, Lavon Davison and her husband, Ralph, of Bowling Green; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Thursday. Memorial gifts may be made to Fairview Memorial Missionary Baptist Church.
