Joseph James Regnier, 75, of Bowling Green, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at The Medical Center at Scottsville.
The Minneota, Minn., native was a son of the late Joseph Raymond Regnier and Olga Melby Regnier and husband of the late Mary Jo DeFoe Regnier. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Blake Franklin Cole Hyman; a brother, John Michael Regnier; a sister, Mary Ann Grundhoffer; and a brother-in-law, Don Grundhoffer. He was an Army veteran, a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and 22-year member of AA, where he was a sponsor to many.
Survivors include four daughters, Joan Thomas (Lee), Barbrara Trawick (Michael), Diane Regnier and Karen Porter (Howard); two sons, James Regnier (Brandi) and Joseph E. Regnier (Carrie); nine grandchildren, Brent Hyman, William Hyman, Austin Trawick, Grant Regnier, Grace Regnier, Anna Regnier, Lauren Regnier, Coleen Turner and Jacob Regnier; four great-grandchildren, R.J. Turner, Robby Turner, Chelsea Turner and Brennan Hyman; a brother, Dennis Regnier (Pady); a sister, Peggy Lietzke (Bob); and a sister-in-law, Linda Regnier.
Funeral Mass will be at noon Friday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church and from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Friday at the church. Arrangements are by Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel.
