John Minton, 79, of Punta Gorda, Fla., formerly of Edmonson County, died Dec. 31, 2012, at his residence.

Funeral is at 2 p.m. Sunday at Patton Funeral Home, Brownsville chapel, with burial in Sweeden Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.
