James A. Keown Sr., 88, of Jeffersonville, Ind., was the loving husband of Dora Louise Keown.
Jim was a depression-era farm boy, a World War II vet, a retired guard from the Indiana Ammunitions Plant and a member of the West Maple Street Baptist Church. Most of all he was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. He saw a lot in his life, didn’t believe in handouts, but would always give you a hand and teach you something that you could use. He did a lot for a lot of people.
He has now been called home for a well-deserved rest.
Funeral services for James A. Keown Sr. will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Legacy Funeral Center, 921 Main St., Jeffersonville, Ind., with burial in Walnut Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
