Mrs. Goldie Strickler, 96, of South Union, entered into rest Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at 11:13 a.m. at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.
Arrangements are under the direction of Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, with burial to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
A native of Alexandria, she was the daughter of the late Fred Droege and the late Josephine Slater Droege. She was the wife of the late Dewey Strickler.
She is survived by a son, Dewey Strickler (Frances) of Franklin; a grandson, Jordan Strickler (Dawn) of Lexington; one cousin, several nephews and a niece.
Mrs. Strickler was a member of the First Baptist Church, South Union Homemakers Club, and Eastern Star No. 17. She was a homemaker.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 6 a.m. until funeral service time Wednesday.
