James Archie Beavin, 55, of Bowling Green, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, in Nashville of injuries suffered in a Dec. 15 auto accident.
He was born on Dec. 19, 1957, in Little Falls, Minn., to the late Harlen Earl Sr. and Mary Helen Butterfield Beavin. He was a maintenance man for Northbrook Mobile Home Park.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Cecelia May Maxwell (Moe) Beavin of Bowling Green; a brother, Harlen Beavin Jr. and his wife, Vickie, of Indiana; two sisters, Shirley Hatfield and Sally Smith, both of Bowling Green; several nephews and nieces; longtime friend and co-worker, Tammy Thompson and her son, J.T. Perkins, both of Bowling Green; and his cats.
He had requested to be cremated. Celebration of life is at 5 p.m. Saturday at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Broadway chapel. Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
