Dorothy M. Charlton, 87, of Morgantown, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, at Morgantown Care and Rehab.
Dorothy was born June 16, 1925, in Butler County to the late Crit and Letha Martin Wilson and was the wife of the late Henry Esco Charlton. She was a member of Sandy Creek Baptist Church and was retired from the Lakeview Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sarah Melissa Charlton; and a son, Wayne Charlton.
Dorothy M. Charlton is survived by a daughter, Vickie Norrod (David) of Morgantown; a son, Bradley Charlton of Morgantown; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles Wilson (Bernice) of Morgantown; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at Sandy Creek Baptist Church on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Bro. Wayne Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Sandy Creek Cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Jones Funeral Chapel and Saturday from 9 a.m. until funeral time at Sandy Creek Baptist Church.
