Luther Gilliam, 70, of Bowling Green, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, at the Kindred Transitional Care & Rehabilitation-Rosewood Facility in Bowling Green.
He was born Feb. 20, 1942, in Hadley, the son of Sidney Bennett Gilliam and Vivian Mari Basil Gilliam.
He is survived by two sons, Marshall Gilliam of Bowling Green and Joshua Gilliam of Franklin; a daughter, Amanda Gilliam-Rose of Leitchfield; a brother, Sidney Bennett Gilliam II of New Jersey; two sisters, Linda Laviene of Clarksville, Tenn., and Jane Lewis of Oklahoma City; and two grandchildren, Andrew Sidney Rose and Maleah Gilliam.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Ann Pedigo Gilliam.
Cremation was chosen in lieu of burial. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
