Marcia M. Ray, 53, of Alvaton, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.
The Dodgeville, Wis., native is the daughter of the late Francis L. Lynch and Twila D. Lynch of Dodgeville, who survives.
Marcia started her product development career at Land’s End in Dodgeville and was with them for 18 years. She also served as the director of product development for Fruit of the Loom for 12 years. Marcia was a wonderful wife, a worldwide traveler, had a passion for interior decorating and loved to donate to the Humane Society and Goodwill. She will be missed by all that knew her.
She is survived by a husband of 26 years, William “Billy” J. Ray of Bowling Green; a stepdaughter, Carla Ray Garcia of Houston; two sisters, Kathy Wiest and her husband, Dan, of Yorkville, Ill., and Chris Merritt and her husband, Tom, of Milton, Wis.; two grandchildren, Michael and Samantha Garcia, of Houston; nieces and nephews include Lisa Martinelli and her husband, Nick, Danny Wiest, Matthew Wiest and many others, as well as great-niece Isabel Martinelli. She was preceded in death by a brother, Tim Lynch; and two brothers-in-law, David Ray and Gary Ray.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel. A celebration of life will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Funeral ceremony will be held in Mineral Point, Wis., at Gorgen Funeral Home on Tuesday at 1 p.m. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Mineral Point.
