Harold C. Howard, 83, of Franklin, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, in Franklin.
He was retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service, having served in both the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was a member of the Moose Lodge of Bowling Green and held the Fellowship Degree of Honor. He was also a Kentucky Colonel and a lifetime member of VFW Post 5706 in Franklin.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia, of Franklin; two sons, Greg (Gayle) of Auburn and Mike (Jill) of Pittsburgh; three daughters, Donna Mackin of Vernon, N.J., Deborah Carlile of Omaha, Neb., and Marilyn Deffenbaugh of Buckeye, Ariz.; a brother, J.C. Howard (Jonell) of Alvaton; a sister, Lorine Watt of Bowling Green; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Kay Holland; and four brothers, Tommy, Billy, James and Robert.
Mr. Howard was cremated. Private services will be held at a later date.
