Walter Edward Webb, 74, of Sweeden, passed away Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, in Bowling Green.
He was the son of the late Clyde L. and Lillie Musick Webb and the husband of Mildred Harp Webb. He was a farmer and a truck driver, a staunch Republican and a member of Sweeden Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred Harp Webb of Sweeden; two daughters, Sherry Williams (Edd) of Sweeden and Sheila Lindsey (C.D.) of Brownsville; three sons, Teddy Webb (Lisa) of Sweeden, Eddie Webb (Renee) of Lindseyville and Wilmer “Will” Webb (Delana) of Cave City; an aunt, Billie Jean “Sis” Williams (Howard) of Clarkson; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Roxie Ann Webb.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Patton Funeral Home, Brownsville Chapel. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Sweeden Missionary Baptist Church, with interment in the Sweeden Church Cemetery.
