Ross “Bear” Layne Cardwell, 51, died Monday, Dec. 17, 2012.
The Bristol, Tenn., native was the son of the late Ralph Cardwell and Madge Madeline Hopkins.
He is survived by his wife, Denese Cardwell of Adolphus; stepfather, Clovis Jones of Bristol, Tenn.; three sisters, Claudette Cardwell of Fayetteville, Ark., and Billie Jean Skelton and Mary Cardwell, both of Bristol; a brother, Dowell Jones of Clifton, Tenn.; father-in-law and mother in-law, Curtis and Annese Houston of Gray, Ga.; sister-in-law, Patricia Bush of St. Cloud, Fla.; his wife’s aunt, Bertie Haddock of Gray, Ga.; a son, William Cardwell of Cochran, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be a memorial service at 3 p.m. Saturday at T.W. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
