Ruby Nell Wimpee, 79, of Scottsville, died at 11:55 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green.

The Adolphus native was a homemaker, a retired employee of General Electric, a former employee of the PVA office and member of Concord United Methodist Church. She was a daughter of the late Elzie Joseph Meador and Mary Alice Dalton Meador and the wife of the late Victor “Buddy” Wimpee.

She is survived by a son, Tim Wimpee and his wife, Dottie, of Bowling Green; two daughters, Becky Fox and her husband, Gary, and Cindy McReynolds and her husband, Gary, all of Scottsville; two brothers: Joe Meador of Adolphus and Gordon Meador and his wife, Linda, of Columbia, Tenn.; seven grandchildren, Joseph McReynolds and his wife, Ali, Jarad McReynolds and his wife, Lauren, Ali Fox, Eric Fox and Emily Fox, Brette Wimpee and Ryanne Wimpee.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Ginny Cook.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today at Goad Funeral Home, with burial in Allen County Memorial Gardens.
