Shawn Dale Thompson, 40, of Smiths Grove, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2013.
The Warren County native was a son of the late Marilyn Jane Nichols Connors and was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Eliza and Theodore Nichols; his paternal grandfather, Odell Howard Thompson; and three uncles, Dennis “Jake” Thompson, David Thompson and Gary Thompson.
He worked as a mason for most of his life. He was a very outgoing person who never met a stranger and loved his family and friends very much. He always ended every conversation by telling them so. He was generous to a fault and always knew how to make you smile.
Survivors include his father, Howard Dale Thompson; paternal grandmother, Anna Mae Thompson; two sisters, Kristina Thompson Sewell (John) and Angela J. Bunch; three nephews, Ethan Bryant, Sean “Quinn” Lam and Owen Sewell; two nieces, Maycie and Olivia Sewell; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral service is at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home Bowling Green Chapel, with burial in Smiths Grove Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
