Scott Johnson, 41, of Red Banks, Miss., died at 10:33 p.m. Jan. 25, 2013, at Alliance Healthcare in Holly Springs, Miss.

The Edmonson County native was a welder and a patrol sergeant for the Marshall County, Miss., Sheriff’s Office. He was a son of the late Larry Elbert Johnson and Brenda Sue Kinser Johnson.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Red Hill General Baptist Church, where he was a member, with burial in Doyle Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at Gravil Funeral Home and after 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the church.

Surviving are three sons, Travis Hood, Tray Hood and Dalton Johnson, all of Red Banks; a brother, Steve Johnson (Carrie) of Brownsville; and two stepbrothers, Greg Tyree of Brownsville and Jason Tyree (Shayna) of Sweeden.
