Virgil Adamson, 78, of Bowling Green, died at 9:06 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, surrounded by family at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.
He was the son of the late Adron Henderson Adamson and Tenney Minnix Adamson. He was a retired construction roofer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean Adamson; his son, Vyron Adamson; and two daughters, Theresa and Zina Adamson.
He is survived by his daughter, Tina Allen of Bowling Green; three sons, Daniel Adamson and his wife, Sheila, and Irving Adamson and his wife, Lori, both of Bowling Green, and Joseph L. Adamson and his wife, Edith, of Woodburn; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Adamson of Bowling Green; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and on Saturday after 10 a.m. at the J.C. Kirby and Son Broadway Chapel. Funeral service is at 2 p.m. Saturday, with burial in Still Cemetery.
