Frances Roberta Pillow Key, 87, of Bowling Green, passed away Feb. 5, 2013, at Colonial Manor Care and Rehab.
The Rockfield native was the daughter of the late Schuyler Galloway and Hattie Bell McLemore Pillow.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Merle Pillow and Fred Laurence Pillow; and a sister, Eva Mae Bowling.
Roberta was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church. She retired from South Central Bell Telephone Co. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved to work with flowers at church and at home. She always put her family’s needs before her own. She will be missed by her best cat buddy Louie.
Survivors include a daughter, Donna Key of Bowling Green, and a son, Lewis Key and his wife, Mary, of Tampa, Fla.; grandchildren, Heather Callis of Bethpage, Tenn., and Samantha Bunch of Smiths Grove; great-grandchildren, Heanna Flynn, Trent Callis, Rebekah Bunch, Mary Abigail Bunch, Dylan Dietrich, Liam Henson and Sara Jasmine; and two sisters, Lenora Porter and Dorothy Hardcastle (Julian), and a brother, Vernon Pillow (Margaret), all of Bowling Green.
Funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, with visitation from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at J.C. Kirby & Son Broadway Chapel. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Humane Society.
