Funeral Home: J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel
Presley Morris Grise, 85, of Bowling Green, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at 3:25 p.m. at The Medical Center.
Morris was born Dec. 8, 1927, in Sand Springs. He was preceded in death by his parents, D.A. Grise and Pauline Porter Grise; his wife, Joyclen Webb Grise; and three sisters, Helen Gilliam, Martha Strain and Jamie Kane.
Morris was a retired purchasing agent at Colt Industries. He began his work in 1953 and was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church. He was married to the love of his life for 64 years and was married on Dec. 27, 1947. His grandchildren called him “Gran.” He loved to grow vegetables and work in his yard. The grandchildren especially loved him because he would let them roller-skate in the garage and he also loved to play Nerf ball with all the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They also loved to take trips to Nevada to see Stan and all of his family.
Survivors include a son, Stan Grise of Barranquilla, Colombia; a daughter, Joyce Meredith (Harvey) of Alvaton; six grandchildren, David and Matt Grise, Greg Meredith, Leeann Sneed (Billy), Pam Kennedy (Eric) and Daniel Meredith; three great-grandchildren, Katie Sneed, Meradeth Carroll and Addisyn Kennedy; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. until service time at J.C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel. The funeral service is Saturday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Bowling Green Gardens.
