Weldon Dallas Shepherd, 80, of Bowling Green, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, at his residence
The Butler County native was a son of the late Luther Shepherd and Ivy Amos Shepherd and was preceded in death by a son, Dallas Shepherd, and a grandson, Jeffrey Shepherd.
He was a retired employee of General Motors and a member of Green Valley Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Zella Mae Rogers Shepherd; five children, Brenda Coleman (Joe), Mark Shepherd (Tammy), Tommy Shepherd (Cathy), Beverly Basham (Steven) and Betty Jean Copeland; 21 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a sister, Colleen White; and a brother, Duran Wayne Shepherd.
Funeral service is at 11 a.m. Monday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel, with burial in Fairview Cemetery No. 2. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.
