Louise Jenkins Drake, 88, passed away Feb. 15, 2013, in Bowling Green. She was born March 8, 1924, in Bristow to the late M.O. and Clara Jenkins. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Spencer Drake, and a brother, Omer Jenkins. She was a former employee at Sears Department Store and WKU. Louise was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church and DAR.
She is survived by three daughters, Sheila Griffin (Bruce) and Stephanie Rogers (James T.), both of Bowling Green, and Sondra Page of Atlanta; brother, William L. Jenkins of Bowling Green; five grandchildren, Anne Page Strehaiano (Jean), Drake Page, Stephanie Griffin, Salem Griffin and Heather Rogers Bochner (Mark); six great-grandchildren, Lucie, Claire, Laure, Harley, Anna and Adam; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at J.C. Kirby & Son Broadway Chapel with a 1 p.m. graveside service Monday at Fairview Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hospice of Southern Kentucky and Alzheimer’s Association.
