Sonia Dorothy Richardson of Acworth, Ga., passed away Feb. 20, 2013, at home after battling cancer. She was 72.
A celebration of Sonia’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta, Ga. Burial will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta.
Sonia was the youngest child of the late Cyril Egan and Nancy Veneer, and sister of the late Paddy Welsh. Sonia is survived by her much-loved children, Daniel Richardson (Alexandria, Va.) and Terri Ann Parris (Corpus Christi, Texas); her adored sister and best friend, Jackie Cahill (Acworth, Ga.) and her dear brother, John, and his family (Yorkshire, UK). Sonia also leaves behind her darling granddaughter, Olivia, cherished nieces Karen, Manda, Trisha and Amanda; great-nephews, Nicolas, Thomas, Cole, Owen and Lawson; and great-nieces, Anna-Lilly and Lucy.
Sonia will be missed terribly by all her family, including her former husband, Terry Richardson (Bowling Green); her daughter-in-law, Jenny Richardson; son-in-law, Tyler Parris; and her friends both near and far.
