Danny Ray Elmore, 67, of Brownsville, passed away Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, in Bowling Green. He was a retired machinist with Eaton Corp. and a Vietnam Army veteran.
The Jefferson County native was born to the late Russell Arlis Elmore and the late Mary Christine Miller Sears.
He is survived by his wife, Bonita Jo Wilson Elmore; a son, Michael Ray Elmore, and daughter- in-law, Holly McKinney Elmore, both of Morgantown; three grandchildren, Shayla Kaye Marr (Ethan Wayne) of Horse Cave, and Haley Renee Elmore and Michael Seth Elmore both of Munfordville; two stepgrandchildren, Rylee Madison McKee and Avery Elizabeth McKee, both of Morgantown; and a half brother, Todd Sears (Susan) of Hendersonville, Tenn.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepfather, Wendell Sears; and a sister, Kathy Woodward Elmore.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Patton Funeral Home, Brownsville Chapel, and from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday at Pine Grove United Baptist Church. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Pine Grove United Baptist Church, with burial in the Pine Grove Cemetery.
