Funeral Home: Valhalla Funeral Home and Memory Gardens in Huntsville
Wilma Jean Campbell, 82, of Huntsville, Ala., passed on Feb. 27, 2013. She was born May 8, 1930, to Elijah Ewing Warren and Mae Stephens Warren in Meridianville, Ala.

She is survived by her husband, Cecil Campbell, 86, also of Huntsville; and her son and daughter-in-law, Warren and Jan Campbell of Bowling Green. She is also survived by former daughter-in-law, Peggy Mellies, of Pensacola, Fla. She has five surviving siblings, Faye Fuchs, Sue Hawkins, Earl “Clack” Warren, Malcolm “Craw” Warren and Edward “Chick” Warren. She also has four grandchildren, Shawn, Heather, Jesslyn and Chris and three great-grandsons, Sebastian, Seth and Max.

She was a devout Baptist, attending Brownsboro Baptist Church for many years and was an absolute shining example of a good Christian woman. In high school, she was on the Homecoming Court and was a cheerleader, and remained a constant cheerleader for her entire family throughout the years. She worked for many years as an orthodonic assistant.

She was a friend to all God’s creatures big and small and has left behind many pleasantly plump squirrels and birds. She was an avid gardener with a green thumb, a wonderful cook and a skillful tennis player with a mean backhand. She never met a person she didn’t like, and everyone who knew her loved her. She was a wonderfully kind woman and always thought of others first. She was extraordinary and will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

Her family would like to thank Hospice of Bowling Green for the compassionate care Wilma received during her final days as well as Morningside Retirement Home, where she and Cecil made their home in Bowling Green.

In honor of her memory, people may make donations to their church or favorite charity. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Valhalla Funeral Home and Memory Gardens in Huntsville, with the service to follow.
