Melissa Marie Anderson, 32, of Bowling Green, entered into rest Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at 11:20 p.m. at Cal Turner Rehabilitation and Specialty Care Center in Scottsville.
Melissa is survived by her two special cats, Miley and Alley; parents, Andi and Becky Anderson; maternal grandmother, Laverna Nelson of Bowling Green; aunt, Patsy (Jim) Roper of Petaluma, Calif.; two brothers, Derek (Stephanie) and Jason (Jasmyn) Anderson, both of Bowling Green; three sisters, Dawn (Kevin) McLaughlin of Sacramento, Calif., Stephanie (Doug) Brooks of Eugene, Ore., and Aimee Allbee of Antioch, Calif.; six nieces, Skylar, Jaylyn, Trinidy, Baizely, Peyton and Kaitlyn; and four nephews, Kage, Kaden, Myles and Mayson.
Melissa was a native of Camarillo, Calif., and a member of Hillvue Heights Church. She worked in the communications field. She was an inspiration to all the patients at the Hope House. She loved all animals and treated all children as her own.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Arvel Nelson, and uncle, Allen Nelson.
A celebration of life service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Hillvue Heights Church with Dr. Steve Ayers officiating.
