Lillie Hampton, 85, of Chalybeate, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013, in Bowling Green. She was born to the late Veach Hampton and Eula Undine Poynter Hampton. She was a housekeeper, a sitter and a Baptist.
She is survived by a daughter, Linda Ray (Dwight) of Chalybeate; two grandchildren, Angela Cowles (Frankie) of Brownsville and Chris Ray (Kristin) of Chalybeate; three great-granddaughters, Hannah Holder, Natalie Johnson and Savannah Cowles; a stepgreat-granddaughter, Patience Cowles; three sisters, Rosie Lewis (Albert), Ruth Dehart (Jim) and Mary Pedigo (Wayne), all of Cave City; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Donald, Frank, Dick, Gano and Charlesie Hampton.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Patton Funeral Home, Park City Chapel, where the funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery with Bro. Jeff Howard officiating.
