Arnold Gregory Taylor, 91, of Bowling Green, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at Greenwood Nursing and Rehab in Bowling Green. The Scuffletown (Henderson County) native was born July 23, 1921, a son of the late Lee A. Taylor and Charlotte Marie Gregory Taylor.
Mr. Taylor received his undergraduate degree in agriculture from the University of Kentucky and was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity. He earned a master’s degree in education and Rank I from Western Kentucky University. He was a Henderson County farmer, an engineer with Whirlpool Corp., a science teacher at Bowling Green High School and founder of Arnold Taylor Tax Service. A gardener through his 90th summer, Mr. Taylor also enjoyed woodworking and genealogy. Mr. Taylor especially loved working with young people and was a scout master for seven years, taking his Scout troop to Philmont Scout Ranch in 1970 and continuing as a council leader for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Sara Downing Taylor; a son, Greg Taylor and his wife, Laura; a daughter, Susan Taylor and her husband, Andy Loving; six grandchildren, Jeremiah, Ingrid, Max, Micah, Sara Burton and Walker; and a great-grandchild, Bentley.

Visitation is from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home. Memorial Service for Mr. Taylor will be at 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery at an unspecified date.
