Curtis Dale, 94, went to be with his Lord on March 27, 2013.
His son, Michael Curtis Dale and his wife, Deborah, and two brothers, Robert and his wife, Dee, of Louisville, and Franklin, of Jeffersonville, Ind., survive him.
Curtis was the son of the late Elmer Curtis Dale Sr. and Corinne Anna Minninghoff. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Corinne Calder Dale. His sister, Doris Dale Bixler, also preceded him in death.
Curtis was born and raised in Louisville. He has since lived in Nashville and Bowling Green. He was a graduate of DuPont Manual Training High School in Louisville. He served as a Glider Field Artillery radio operator in the 82nd Airborne Division during WWII. Curtis worked for more than 40 years for Western Electric Co., finishing his career as a shop supervisor. He loved his family, playing and watching sports and working around his house and yard.
We would like to thank his loving caregivers at Massey Spring Assisted Living and Hopkins Care & Rehab Center.
Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel, with private burial at Woodlawn Cemetery in Nashville. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday at J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel.
