Victor Tetenko, devoted servant of Jesus Christ, passed into eternal life on March 28, 2013, at his home with his wife of 46 years by his side.
Victor bravely fought the battle against MDS (myelodysplastic syndrome) for four years. Mr. Tetenko was born Aug. 7, 1936, in Russia, a son of the late Alexander Tetenko and Alexandra Burlaka Tetenko. Victor graduated from college in the Ukraine with a degree in engineering and served three years in the air force. In 1989, Victor and his family immigrated to the United States with the sponsorship of the lovely people at First Baptist Church, where he is a member.
Victor is survived by his wife, Lyubev Maimula Tetenko of Bowling Green; two sons, Alexander Tetenko of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Sergey Tetenko and his wife, Lana, of Hot Springs, Ariz.; one daughter, Rimma Barko and her husband, Alexander, of Spokane, Wash.; five grandchildren, Ruslan and Natalie Barko, both of Spokane, and Crestina, Victoria and Nikita Tetenko, of Hot Springs.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 31, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Monday, April 1, from noon to 2 p.m. at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, April 1, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Johnson-Vaughn-Phelps Funeral Home, with burial in Fairview Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the kind and loving people at GGC and The Medical Center who cared for their beloved father.
